Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Pertuus handles personal data collected through this website, our enquiry forms, our assistant and our WhatsApp channels. It's written to align with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and Cabinet Decision No. 21 of 2024.
Who is responsible for your data
Pertuus operates in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and acts as the controller of personal data submitted through this website. For any question about this notice, or to exercise your rights, contact us at pertuus@outlook.com.
What we collect
- Your name, contact number and email address.
- Details you choose to share about your property or project: location, property type, scope, timing and any description you enter.
- Messages you send through our website assistant or WhatsApp.
- Basic technical information generated when you use the site, such as the page an enquiry was submitted from.
We don't ask for financial data, identity documents or sensitive personal data through this website. Please don't submit them here.
Why we use it and on what basis
We process this data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a scope or estimate, arrange a site visit, and manage the resulting project. The legal bases are your consent, given when you submit an enquiry or message us, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries directed to us. We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for automated decision-making.
Marketing
We don't send marketing messages to enquiry contacts unless you have separately asked us to. If we introduce a mailing list in future, it will be opt-in and every message will carry an unsubscribe option.
Who we share it with
Enquiry data is stored in our website's secure hosted database and is accessible only to the Pertuus team members who handle enquiries. It's also processed by the service providers that operate this website, including our hosting and database provider, and by the AI provider that powers the website assistant, solely to generate a response to your message. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also processed by WhatsApp under its own terms.
Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that is the case, transfers are made under the provider's contractual data protection commitments.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so that we can follow up and maintain a record of the discussion. Where an enquiry becomes a project, the related records are retained for as long as required for contractual, warranty, insurance and statutory purposes, including the ten-year structural liability period that applies to construction works under the UAE Civil Code.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary for the site to function and to protect our forms from abuse. We don't currently run advertising pixels or third-party analytics. If tracking or analytics tools are added in future, this notice will be updated and a consent banner will be presented before any non-essential tracking loads.
Your rights
Under the PDPL you may request:
- access to the personal data we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erasure of your data, where no legal or contractual obligation requires us to keep it;
- restriction of, or objection to, processing;
- a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Send requests to pertuus@outlook.com. We'll respond within a reasonable period. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
Enquiry data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in a managed database with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data we hold.
Changes
We may update this notice as our services or our tools change. The version published on this page is the current one.
